Since October 1986, Captain Ron Arad, a navigator in the Israeli Air
Force, has been held prisoner of war in Lebanon. Although Ron was
known to be in good physical condition when he was taken prisoner,
there has been no news of him since October 1987. Until the present
day, he has not been accorded the fundamental right of any prisoner
- visits by a representative of the International Red Cross.
Since there has been no word from Ron Arad himself or any reliable
information about his condition or whereabouts, his family is
appealing to anyone who can assist in obtaining information about
him or establishing contact with him, so that he may return to his
home and family as soon as possible.
