A wanderer through the cuddly meadow might be surprised to see KiTas,
PiTas, squires, Ladies in Waiting (LiW) and FaJiTAs hugging, tugging
on the fabric,
*splatting* each other and spodding away......
Then he will scratch his head bewildered and ask himself: "What are all
those creatures?! What is all the rumbling about?!"
Well, my dear traveler...Here We Go:
A KiTA is a Knight in Tarnished Armor. Yes, it's Tarnished, not Shining.
They actually WORK for a living. They fought many battles and have
scars to prove it. Their tarnished armor represents the honor of
loyalty and brave efforts.
a PiTA is not a type of bread from the Middle East. Well, it is, but
in this case, it means Princess in Tarnished Armour. She didn't have
it any easier than the knight so her armor is also quite tarnished.
this part was taken from Hytzipky's site, with
some slight changes by me.
In CuddleLand, though, A KiTA or PiTA is just as ROYAL as every
commoner. It's just that they have been in a.c. longer and therefore
can be addressed if you have any questions or problems. They are not
the leaders of the group and not a rulling party.
From the FaJiTA Page:
A Fajita (I'm speaking of the food here.) is a simple dish
consisting of a flour tortilla wrapped around grilled or sauted meat
and vegetables. Sounds kind of plain doesn't it?
What makes a FaJiTA special is what is added to it. Whether it's
pico de gallo, salsas, sour cream, guacamole, jalapenos or whatever
other condiment you might add.
That's what gives the Fajita it's own personality if you will. Let's
face it a fajita without personality is just meat and bread!
A FaJiTA is like other women. We're all alike basically when you
come down to it. What makes us special is our unique personality.
What we were blessed to already have or what we've learned as we've
walked through our life, from the good times and the bad times. Be
it a wicked sense of humor, being quick to smile, shedding a tear
and showing compassion for another who is going through a time of
trial in their lives, shyness, bawdiness, gentleness. It's those
things and more that make us all unique.
The Sisterhood of the FaJiTA's began one night after the CuddleAnt
had been thinking. Every lady in alt.cuddle deserved something to
show how special she is. Something to let everyone else know she'd
been rewarded for her efforts in the group and for her own unique
gift that she brings to the Meadow. It doesn't matter how long
you've been in the group, whether you're a newbie or an oldbie or
how much you've been able to participate.
All sisters of the FaJiTA has a number and a quote. We have also one
honorary male FaJiTA, number #0 :-)
(From the FAQ)
- Someone who posts three or more times per day on alt.cuddle,
that is to say, someone we all want to hug very much.
- A perpetrator of good deeds via an electronic network, i.e. a
person who should be held in custody for aforementioned acts, held
warmly and tightly but gently, and very, very sweetly.
What Spods are:
- Defined basically as those people who are either:
- very knowledgeable about computers,
- spend many hours per day working with computers.
An early symptom/sign/indication that one has got Spod-disease is
the fact that he or she makes three or more posts to Alt.Cuddles in
a day. In the chronic cases, (where survival is pretty slim), Spods
can post as many as 10 messages each and EVERY day. Spods can hug by
giving out "Spoddles", which are cuddles given by a Spod.
- There is no known cure, and without preventitive treatment
(removing News Net access) the disease will become more and more
severe. In addition, Spod-disease is EXTREMELY infectious, with just
e-mail contact from another infected person needed to contract the
- The ultimate conclusion for all those who contract this disease
is that they become friendlier; hug, cuddle and spoddle more; have a
tendency to twiddle their fingers when away from the keyboard; and
need to be near a computer terminal at most times unless they have
therapy (hug therapy that is).
Alt.cuddle does also act as a form of a support group for people who
need a cuddle, for whatever reason. Some people want one because
they're feeling low. Others want one because they're feeling good.
Others want one because they like a good cuddle however they feel.
On this group, all you have to do is ask.
Of course, an electronic cuddle isn't the same as the Real Thing. But it's always nice
when someone you've never met sends you a nice email!
Just a note here, all the hugging in this group is on a friendly
basis. No, this is not an excuse for sex or a place to "pick up".
There are other newsgroups for that matter.
So if you want a cuddle, post on the group, write to one of the
oldbies (regular posters), or just jump in and join in the fun!
You'll get all the *cuddles* and *hugs* you can handle!
